  • 4x4 spot lights

    hello all,

    I own a 1999 V6 petrol Prado. Im thinking about purchasing some Lightforce GENESIS spotlights model DL210 / DL210W { 2 off } the 2 questions I have are.

. Has anyone had any experience with this type of spotlight ?

. Will I require a battery or alternator upgrade to run these lights ?

thanks in advance for any information or comments.

They are a nice light although I like the XGT better. 1 great thing about light force is that they honour their warranty without fail in my experience.

No alternator upgrade required although as with any lights, they need to be wired up with suitable cable.
2008 Diesel Prado with extra stuff added. I drive it on the road and other places too.

      Tiger Shark

I just bought a pair of these of an ebay vendor located in Bairnsdale.

Good price, good vendor prompt delivery.

      $150.00 under 4 x 4 shop in Fairfield.

      Happy with the lights.
      Cheers

Dont forget to look at other brands, like Fyrlyt and Narva, both quality lights.

Lightforce are a great light; especially since they started using the newer mounts (like those on the XGT).

They will also back their products to the end of the earth.

If you think Lightforce is a great light, wait till you see a Fyrlyt in action, will kick the lightforce to the back of the pack. They get better light by using Halogen than what Lightforce can ever get with HID. Well worth a look.

Guys, I know I'm responding a little late, but in all seriousness, lightforce is an Australian product and more importantly Australian owned. It is a quality brand and most importantly a sponsor of PP, being a small independent Australian businessman and having friends in business it's critical to support local. Remember these sites and physical clubs are supported by these small businesses, so for my ten cents worth buy the lightforce and may the for be with you! Lol NB I'm a newbie here I don't know lightforce from Adam. I will though support sponsors of this site so I can continue to enjoy prado point. Cheers

I've run light force on both my prados,The 170 strikers that I had on my 90 series were good lights for the money I paid, but they went when I sold the prado. Then I first put the 240 blitz on my 120 but were just to big for the mounts and tended to vibrate around a lot, so decided to sell them and brought some power vision - Quattro elites in 70 hid, superb quality and well worth the money in my books. I had an issue with my flood beam, they air freighted me a brand new replacement light so I wouldn't be put out and just said to send the faulty one back when I had the chance. Great customer service. So will be getting more business from me

I just went a set of Xray 200mm Halogen's on mine and could'nt be happier.
                              Good value for money.

A friend has the HID version & they are nuclear in their light output.
Lights up my caravan in full sunlight from approx 20-30mtrs away. Mind numbing light output.

                              My 2 cents, Regards Jason
