Here is some additional information I discovered when programming my new Transmitter (PZQ71-00042) using the information from the LCOOL Site

All remotes have to be programmed not just the new one, with a maximum of 3 Remotes, and I found that the 20 on/off of the ignition transitions have to be done quite rapidly, if programming 3 remotes when the 3rd remote button is pressed the receiver closes the programing mode itself.

Hope this may help anybody who need to program a remote.

Just had to do this myself...as the old remotes shat themselves and took me a while getting around to a replacement.
Had to go the battery disconnection route. One thing I noted (as it took me a couple of goes) is that when you get into the programming mode with the 20 acc to on clicks....leave the key on the acc (the instructions say off position), each remote you then press after the 20 confirmation flashes you will get two flashes of the indicator lights to say it has been programmed. Then switch to On to save the settings.
