Blown headlight globe

I blew a headlight globe and now the new one i fitted is exetrmely dull. Has anyone come across this before? THANKS for any replies.

will be a bad connection , test the voltage at the globe when it is operating , that will show you whats going on , low voltage is a common cause of halogen failure

You didn't buy a 24v one by mistake did you

Fixed it

Went to my local sparky & after 10 seconds he found it was a blown fuse. Strange that only 1 light went out but it works now & yes i did feel stupid.
