  • Head Lamp Kit Upgrade

    Hey all
My front head lamps need replacing, all of the reflective silver is corroding in the head lamp. I saw a pair of these on Ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-La...106f524&_uhb=1 , they look fairly good. Has anyone installed after market lights on there 90? Are they any good? Or should I get some new stock lamps?

I got the black version of the ones in your link. I'm quite happy with them.
I read in another thread somewhere that they are designed for the US market and the light from the right light goes higher. I have noticed this but it does not seem to be a problem.

I have not changed the globes as yet, they seem fine for now.

Fitting them was easy and plugged straight in. I only had to do some minor wiring to connect the halos to the parking lights.

I've also changed my tail lights which had the top blank space fitted with a turn indicator globe. I quite like these as well, but am looking for an excuse to get the dark ones. So now i have 2 indicators on each side, the original in the bumper and the one in the body.

There are a few on ebay, all from Malaysia, some of them want you to tell them if you are right hand drive or left hand drive, so that you get the correct style of light. check with the seller before buying.

My personal thought would be to use lights from a 95 series as it has a clear front lens with a crysal reflector creating its cutoff.
