  • Interior Light Upgrade

I have noticed that the interior lights are very weak in the Prado 90 . I saw a LED light upgrade kit for the 90 . Check it out what do you think? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-La...6d2159f&_uhb=1

Would they be hard to install?

I got a set from the same supplier a couple of months ago. The cargo area and dome light are definitely an improvement, but I don't think the map reading lights are as good as the originals so I'm looking around for something better. Fitting is a piece of cake, but getting to the map readers is a bit more complicated, you have to get your fingers under the edge of the light fitting closest to the windscreen and pull down.

Here's a list for the 120. It might be useful to you. The LED panels are great for map lights.

Man I'm totally in the wrong business. I swapped my prado over to LED for about 10.

I have LEDS in the map, dome and the aftermarket cargo light. The difference is night and day, it works amazingly

Yep, I have overhead console I built in our prado so I replaced the front interior light with one from a commodore with map lights, moved the front to the rear and left the rear cargo light as is. They all have LEDs in them and the map lights are HiPo LED which burn retinas lol

I just bought the festoon type LED from the local 12v shop. Worked out cheaper that way.

I also thought about upgrading the light in the boot. Is this possible?

Yes it is, all the interior lights are festoon type, however, they are of different sizes, so the best thing to do is take the cover off of each light and measure the length of the globe to ensure you get the correct ones.
