CDL light coming on(flashing) intermitantly

Gday all as the title says every now and then my CDL comes on and flashes at a constant rate sort of the frequentcy of an alarm light. Normally on cold start up and normally if I full lock the steering and drive it will cease ""normally"". Any one have any idea why this would be doing this and does it mean even though the button is off is the CDL coming on when this happens do you think? Do I have a problem or electrical gremlin?
