Central locking

Can anybody point me in the right direction. I am trying to install a remote keyless entry system to my existing central locking in my prado. Has anyone had success at this? I have found that the lock/unlock switch on the dash is 'negatively switched' but I am having issues with this, as the keyless unit I have got does not have any wiring instructions. It has a basic wiring diagram showing 12v line, earth, lock line, unlock line, and three other cables that are shown to go the solenoid on the drivers door (one is an earth, and the other two have constant low voltage power).

I assumed I could just link the unit straight into the lock/unlock switch on the dash, but that just isnt working for me (due to the switch being a negative trigger). unit I am installing is a steel mate remote system from jaycar. (maybe I just need a different unit).

I'd suggest getting a circuit diagram from Jaycar before you start frying things...

did a bit more hunting around last night. Found another thread on prado point about installing remote. No details on if they used the switch wires, but had a link to an ebay item, but item link is now expired. think I might take the unit back, and get a cheap flea bay one that actually has all the info with it.
