  • Roof Mounted Lights

Guys i'm currently in the process of mounting 4 Hella 181's on the Roof on my truck, and i was wondering if anyone would have any advice when it comes to running the power cable, i'm planning on just running the one cable, and then using an earth strap from the racks to the car, anyone got some advice for getting a cable up there?

I'm currently running a pair of work lights at the rear and four Hellas at the front of the roof rack .... and there was no way I wanted to drill the turret.

I've actually got 25 amp twin core running up the rubber channel on each side of the windscreen ... it tucks in nicely and is virtually invisible with its black sheathing.

It also takes care of both power and earth.

This is on a 120 series .... and I'm not sure of the design of the 90 series windscreen rubber .... but I hope this gives you something to work with.

    Cheers

        4 x 100 Watt up top. 2 x 100 Watt downstairs

        Alternator hasn't had any dramas.

... but I have been thinking of HID kits for them all

        Cheers

            Re: Roof Mounted Lights

            I thought I would

            Bump
this old post hoping some of the sand grophers on here might know the law.

Yesterday I was talking to a cruiser driver and he was saying that it is illegal to put lights up on roof bars. me personally...I thought you were only allowed six forward facing lights.

Can someone help me out with this dilemma please......
