hey boys just a question... why can i only find one live wire in the dash harness- shouldn't the accessory wire and the battery wire both have a live current with the key on?? (currently just the accessory wire , green with red stripe, is live???. i can get the new head unit to power up by connecting it's battery lead and accessory lead both to the in dash accessory lead but i think this is incorrect---------- any ideas boys??

From memory I think the constant power is usualy the yelow one, Ill have a look in the book tomorrow.
You will need to find both the switched and unswitched power so the unit holds its memory. The ignition positive is only used as an on switch not to power the unit, so the constant power should be hooked up. If your upgrading to a bigger stereo than you should consider powering it direct from the battery with a heavier, fused cable & just using the switched pos as the on switch.
Hope that makes sence, let us know how you go.Glenn
