  • Allzone fuse box

    Like a lot of Pradopointers, my vehicle has a duel battery system which has numerous accessories running off it. It seemed that before each major trip I had to hurredly run another set of cables and inline fuse to the second battery so we would have enough power to run the necessities that we seemed to accumulate. Not being electrical in any way and rushing to get things done resulted in........ well I'll let the pictures do the talking.

    I knew that the above was a recipe for disaster so I decided I needed to do something about it. Thanks to a couple other threads on Pradopoint I decided to buy an Allzone fuse box to see if I could tidy things up a bit.

    This was my postive terminal before the Allzone (the blue stuff is something Toyota insist on applying during services)

    I attached the Allzone to the firewall near the wiper motor. It took some time to work out exactly where to place it and leave enough room for all the cables that would be added.

    Part way through the install.

    The finished product

    Not so much spaghetti now.

    The fuse box cost me $49 from the 12 Volt Shop and about $20 worth of cable and terminals. Everything seems to be running OK, so hopefully I have short circuted any potential problems and made things much simpler. The good thing about the Allzone is you can label each fuse and I have a bit of room left for expansion.

    Now all I need to do is to find some time to hit the road and test it out.

    Hey Rianman,

    Nice write up. They are a great fuse block for a decent price. I have just installed 2 of them and would've been stuffed without them. I got them from Jamie's 12v shop on ebay.

            Hey damonat,

            I have 2 six packs as one fuses a main battery supply and the other my auxiliary battery supply. I have set up a RanOx battery booster (DC-DC battery booster/3 stage charger) to maintain my dual battery system. They're a great unit and doing the job quite nicely.

            Ranox setup here ---> viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4117

            Cheers,
