  • Strange issue with dash and park lights.

I have a rather strange issue with the fuse blowing, which controls the dash and park lights. It has been an intermittent problem up until now. The fuse does not blow when the park lights are turned on without the engine running, but will blow when turned on with the engine running. Any thoughts on this would be great thanks.

      Hi Eddo,
I had a problem like this a little while ago. I checked everything accociated with the switch through to the lights themselfs, what I found was the relay overheating possibly due to arcing inside. I bought an aftermarket part from Narva ($12-$13) and its been fine since. Now ive found the starter relay has also been playing up or even the starter motor, so I tried tracking down a replacement relay although to my disappointment only Toyota supply theses and at $75. Ripped off,
      Zook.
