  • Factory Dual Battery wiring?

I have a 2001 TD man prado, When i bought it the previous owner mentioned that there was wiring already installed at the factory for dual batteries,
In my engine bay on the passenger side there is already a battery mount with a cluster of wiring next to it. Between the current battery and the back of the headlight there is some similar wiring. Is this a factory dual bettery system and I can get the wiring loom ex toyota and does it isolate the 2nd battery or would it be easier to ignore the wiring and put in a aftermarket isolator and wiring?

No factory dual battery system was available for the Prado in the Ausralian market.

Some grey imports and overseas markets have a second battery fitted from the factory, however this battery was wired in parallel with the cranking and not isolated with the ignition off.
