The auto arieal is stuffed, been told it is just the mast that needs replacing, question is how does the plastic guard covers in the wheel arches come out? held in by screws or they pop out?

First things first. I'm a long time reader, first time poster. So stay with me if I make a mess of things.

I did my aerial a couple of months back. I ejected the old aerial to find that only about 2 inches of the plastic thingy on the end was left. Therefore I had to pull the inside guard off to get to the actual electric motor. The inner guard comes off no worries. Just use some needle nose pliers or a screwdriver and pop those plastic things out. Easy. Did I mention that first you should go to your Toyota dealer to buy new ones? Well you should, cause once they come out they're buggered for good and cant be re used. From memory I brought about a dozen and it cost me 30 bucks. That on top of the $110 aerial.
