Duel battery with gas

Hi everybody
This is my first posting, I just purchased a 1999 GXL with LPG. My question is has anyone mounted a duel battery with LPG if so where did you place the second battery. The LPG stuff is in the way behind the original battery :roll: , photo would be great.

I did mine back to front. I got a 91 that already had a duel battery, then I fitted gas. The second battery is only a small lead acid which sits to the left of the main battery and over the top of the alternator. I only run the 12 volt caravan lights, the occasional compressor and small inverter so I've no real need for anything bigger. I was thinking of moving the second battery but then the gas fitter stuck the mixer smack bang where the second tray goes. Having said that the home made tray and frame is extremely solid and has stood up to a pile of abuse. Its a cosey fit as well. If the day comes when I need more battery I'll stick a third in the back. But for now, I'm happy with the small set up and no room under the bonnet. That's the trade off for only paying 23 bucks to fill up.

I'm new at this posting stuff, I'll attempt to post some photos on the weekend.

Here is a photo I took. Basically a smaller tray sits next to the original. A couple of lengths of steel run under both trays to hold the weight. The frame on top stops it from moving around. My finger points to one of the mounts on the guard. Hope this helps.
