Just returned from a fantastic trip, boulia, alice springs mereenie loop, kings canyon etc. Highly recommended.
The only problem was dash rattle on mereenie loop, very, very corrugated and the cd player crashed. Cann't play or eject just has error message. Anybody have any ideas on how to get the cds out.

If you have the factory CD stacker unit they are easy to get apart.
Obviously you need to remove the unit from the dash first,
if you haven't done this before you need to pull the dash surround out by starting at the bottom and "gently" pull it straight out.
I say gently but you do need to use a fair amount of effort to pop the spring retainers free, main issue is not to pull to far as it first releases.
Once the bottom releases work your way up both sides ito the top.

Once the surround is out, unscrew the unit from the dash, unplug the loom and then find a table to work on. I usually lay a white sheet or similar down to work on so I don't lose anything.
Being white it shows screws etc.

There is 2 small phillip head screws on the rear panel that hold the top cover in place, remove these then you can lift the top cover off.

You will then be able to very gently "walk" the cd's out one at a time.
The mechanism's guides are only plastic so take your time and don't force anything.

Reassembly is obviously the reverse of what you have done.

My unit had a section of disc guide approx 30 mm long that had broken off and was causing it to jam every so often.
