Reverse Lights Issue

Hi All,

have a problem with the reverse lights that I need some help with. I have done a seach but can't find what I am looking for.

Basically the Reverse lights are not coming on at all, I have checked the bulbs and they are fine, the gauges fuse is fine and as a precaution I have swapped it out but still they will not come on (in hindsight probably did't need to cause all guages are working).

Can anybody tell me where the switch is on the gearbox that engages the lights when you select reverse, I cannot think of anything else that is causing this problem, but don't know where to check the activation switch to confirm it is ok.

Or are there any other ideas?

Can anybody tell me where the switch is on the gearbox that engages the lights when you select reverse

Drivers side, up high, near to where the shifter enters the box.

I also have issue with reverse lights. Sometimes,when going forward again the reverse lights disengages (the reverse lights as well as the dash display warning), other times I have to manually disengage with dashboard switch. drives my crazy - my best guess is it must be a faulty microswitch in gear lever assembly. Any advice?
