  • Power Window Question

I have a 2001 90 series TX Diesel. I'ts a pain every time you want to wind down the windows to have to turn on the key. Especially when driver has gone from car, taken keys with her leaving passengers sitting in a hot stuffy cabin.

I read somewhere, here or on another list, there was a way to cross the power wires over to a non key switched source. Anybody got the clues on this??

    Wristpin,

    Follow this link to LCOOL.

I did the mod 2 weeks ago to my 2002 GXL and works perfectly.

Takes about 20mins from go to whoa.

      Re: Power Window Question

Yep this mod is highly recommended!

Did it to mine a few years ago now. You will get some light from the power switches at night with everything off, but it is insufficient to be of any issue re battery drain.

      Works very well

Thanks blokes, I'll be into it this weekend. Just fitted a UHF and broke a plastic clip thingy off the top left of the cetre dash panel. Seems to be held in place ok by the remaining clips.
