  • Drivers door doesn't unlock with key - have to use another door to unlock?

    Hi everyone,

Just bought a KZJ95 and it came with only 1 key (no remote). The drivers door wont unlock using the drivers door lock - but will unlock if i unlock any other door on the car.
Anyone have any idea's on a simple fix, or is it going to require a new actuator?

    Thanks!

Not a great help but if you do have the remote central locking receiver in the car then you could just buy a keyfob and program it to the car (a process you can do) and then you don't need to worry about the door key lock, and in an emergency you can always use the back or passenger door.

    Example:

No idea how to find out if you have one - from the relay on mine it sounds like it's in the passenger footwell area.

sounds like the mechanical side of things.
if the other locks(actuators) are trigging the drivers door actuator( electronically) it is the lock or the arm that the lock connects to the mech.

Yeah thatís what I was thinking - ended up getting a remote and coding it which was easier and better having a remote anyway! Thanks for the replies
