Ignition leads

Just wondering I've replaced the ignition leads in my 98 Prado but the clips that hold the leads on the coils seem to be the wrong direction and the don't clip in causing the leads to keep wobbling loose from the coils cause my stupid missfire to keep returning there eBay specials I wrote to the seller and he's is saying the clips are on the wrong leads apparently theyr all slightly different angles is this correct before I go and take them all off and try work out what clip goes on what lead (they came on the leads I didn't have to out them on each one seperatly and also they keep popping off from the spark plug side too why is this happening
