OEM glow plugs

Anyone have any opinions on using OEM glow plugs?

Genuine toyo set is going to cost 242.60 but there's lots on ebay for $33 - $80 per set of 4
Hell of a price difference. Whats the downside?

I've heard stories of what can happen to an engine when a glow plug tip breaks off. Not something I'd be willing to risk in my diesel on a cheap ebay special.

But that of course could happen to any glow plugs, just cheap doesn't ring right in my head...

Talk to a diesel specialist, they will point you in the right direction, they can provide you with glow pugs at a fraction of Toyotas price.

I wouldn't say Bosch is a bad choice either... Still, original post didn't specify anything other than an ebay special...

crooza has the right idea - diesel specialist would be able to offer the best advise!
