Ok hear goes. Today I was playing around with my car in an attempt to do a bit of fine tuning and I have come accross or caused a problem.
The car is a March 2000 1kz-te Gxl with 220 000 km on the clock.
I unpluged the wire on the top of the fuel spill valve on the injector pump and was going to rerove the top of the valve body to adjust the fuel delivery, I tried to turn the top of the housing and could only undoo it a tiny bit (around 2 mm out of a full turn) I realised it wasnt going to happen easily so did it back up and pluged the wires back in and now the car will not start at all. It cranks over fine but does not even try to fire and you cat smell any trace of fuel out the exhaust.
What I have done so far.
1. I have checked with multi meter the fuel spill valve and it reads 1.3 ohms which is within spec.
2. I have checked that I have power to the fuel spill valve when the ignition is on and that is all goog.
3. I have checked all the fuses and relays in the fuse box in the engine bay and the fuse pannel under the dash and all is good.
Any help or ideas would be great before I am forced to get it towed to a auto elec or mechanic shop.
This one has really got me stumped so thanks in advance
