Good outcome mate! Electrical gremlins can be a serious pain ITA like that. Glad you got it sorted and thanks for sharing the results

Mate, I'd highly recommend grabbing an ELM327 OBD2 Bluetooth Dongle from ebay and an app called ELMScan Toyota. It's a life saver when troubleshooting these types of things and has gotten me out of a few sticky spots when out 4WDing and problems have occured. It's one of the few apps that can talk to these older Prado's and allows you to read and delete DTC error codes as well as view live data very useful for troubleshooting. Yours is the same year as mine so I assume you have an OBD2 port under your steering column to the left?

I had a similar problem with my 90 series in January last year. Going to work one morning the engine light came on and it went into limp mode half way across a busy intersection. To cut a long story short it ended up being dirty sensors and connectors on the accelerator assembly. I removed the whole mechanism and sprayed it with brake cleaner and it hasn't missed a beat since.
