My 99' land cruiser 90 with almost 400,000km stopped sucking coolant back into the radiator after cooldown.
This only happens after longer trips and not around town.

Once up to temp after being driven hard(er) small bubbles are clear form the overflow hose from the radiator.
In every other sense the car drives just fine, no oil in water or water in oil and is generally in excellent condition.

Is there a way to rule out head gasket or should i just accept the cost of a head replacement?

How did you go with this problem, my 2000 model does the same, have replaced radiator, thermostat, fan. It is now not as bad but still does it??
