Strange sucking noise on inlet

Bought a 1998 1KZTE Prado for my son but it has this funny sucking noise......
..but it disappears when I spray water on engine. Listen closely tomthe sound

Just curious as to what made you want to spray it with water, or was this serendipity?
Ive never seen that done in all my years of researching fixing my car or boat. It does seem to change things.
Is there an airleak somewhere?
You really wouldnt want to get water sucked into the combustion chamber in a diesel, can cause hydraullic lock

Was washing the engine to start stripping and had engine running while washing the engine cleaner of. Noticed that sound disappeared.
