Difference between prado and hilux engine?

Q. Can anyone tell me why the hilux engine has 10kw extra power over the prado 3.4l engine. I understand they have the same block. I drove a hilux today and really could notice a difference in power and it was stock my prado has a kn and pacemaker extractors and 2.5" exhaust. The hilux had 32's compared to my 33's but couldn't see that making that much difference. Just curious.

in fact it is the other way around, the Prado puts out 132kw and the Hilux puts out 122, however the Hilux has more torque, and is lighter than the Prado, this is why the Hilux felt like it had more power
