  • Hiclone

    Hi all,

    I have a 90 Series 3.4 V6 RV, with 325k still running strong....

Does anyone have the Hiclone fitted? If so does it make the difference claimed, do you need two of them as recommended?

I currently get 14.4 liters per 100 km on long run down the coast from Canberra and back after a good MAF and throttle body clean, but I have noticed a strong petrol smell when starting cold of late. (yes everything went back on the right way) Some say this is normal, but, in my book that means unburned petrol and a dip in the back pocket.....

I have also noticed the automatic choke stays on till full operating temp is reached, is there anyway of toggling this back a bit as I do a lot of short runs?

Any elaboration please would be great guys......

    Al

    REALLY???????

I'm feeling a serious case of deja vu. Didn't we just have a hiclone thread about 3 seconds ago????? What are the odds???

Try the search button, type "hiclone" and i'm sure all your questions will be answered.

    Cheers
    James.

EDT: Steve you must type faster than me lol

Consensus seems to be no on the Hiclone...idea canned.

Anyone have the long choke idle issue or the strong petrol smell?

      Cheers.....

Just to be serious about the Hiclone for a second, if these things were half as good as they claim, there would be no need to advertise them, people would be lined up ten deep fighting to be the next one to have one fitted. Anyone that invents anything that can save 10% + in fuel will never need to advertise, just give a couple away and word of mouth will do the rest.

        Sory for being serious

        Cheers Andrew

I reckon they are great for beach work. But you need at least 4. One under each chair leg to stop it digging into the sand.

More likely the oil companies will catch wind of it and buy it off you for squillions just so than can never make it and sell us all more fuel lol.

              Cheers
