Its just about sorted. It goes in shortly to have a complete new exhaust made up with an o2 sensor port for me. Around the same time I will be replacing the timing belt. That's a job I defnetly need the dealership IR another mechanic for.

So quick update. Still haven't found time yet to do the timing belt. Well actually I did once but when I opened the package it was the wrong belt. Exchange had happened but the motivation hasn't returned.
What I did do though is service the transmission. Now I don't know if its just me but I could not see a way of removing that pan without removing the crossover pipe on the exhaust and undoing the retaining bolts for the seaybar so I could pry it down out of the way a little to slide the pan out sideways... Am I doing it wrong? Because it just took me 4.5 hours to service e my transmission! I started it at 10pm when I got home this evening because I thought it's just like all the others I've done and take me 45mimutes with test drive.
Anyways... Car performs very differently now. Especially on hills. I punched it at the bottom of one hill from a 15kmh roll. Car held 2nd all the way to 80kmh until I backed off slightly at which point it shifted into 3rd. I'm happy with that. I wonder if it effect my economy at all. Car is obviously still just as gutless before I did the trans but the butt dyno definetpy tells me I can use what little power I have much better.

Lol I've had the same issue with sway bar rubbers. Not sure if polys are good in the bush - firmer - but I guess it's worth a tryglen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90

I'll be honest... This car spends most of it life on the country highways. One little town used to know the car as the midnight runner as I was coming through at full speed with all my spotlights and rooflughts ablaze on a regular basis. Didn't even know I'd been noticed till I stopped there during the day one time and an old fella swaggered out of the pub to talk to me about the Prado. Lol.
I'm also working on something highly top secret... I'll be focusing on it over the weekend... Watch this space as I really put my electrical skills to the test.

How hard is it to do in the 120's?

My 90 series has a tinkling sound in the exhaust. Some baffle has broken. I love it, because I would drop my wife off sometimes, at the railway station, and she hated the sound. She said it sounded terrible. I hardly heard it, and it only made the noise on idle. Sometimes it didn't make the noise. But anyway, I loved the noise because my wife wanted me to buy another Prado, which I did. But we went to the Blues Fest with camping gear (Melbourne to Byron Bay and return via Drifta to chat with them) and with a tent and gear on the roof and full of gear, some dirt roads and on the speed limit, the old girl got under 13 litres per 100km, worked out from odometers and the amount of fuel put in the tanks.
Evidently my son doesn't want the 90 so I may put it in my Father in Laws driveway ... I don't feel like giving it away, and the 90 is hardly worth anything. Sad for such great vehicles.

If you're interested in selling... Let me know. I'm considering another one if it has a good body and lower then my 370,000kms lol. Don't think I want a 120/150 I really love my 90... The clunker that it is.
Oh as for my secret project... Its coming along well. Would love some extra info though... Anyone know how many cc's the injectors are on the 5vz?
