That seems pretty big $$$ for a power run?

I pay $50 each run (Down from a standard of $70).

You need to make sure that the runs are done in the same gear every time, and preferably the same driver too.

Most power runs are done in 3rd gear in an auto for truer readings.

Lat one cost me $70 and we did about 11 runs all up sorting out a boost / fuel issue.

Have some dyno graphs here somewhere, but they are pretty different to a prado. Around 300+ rear wheel KW..

I only use a dyno dynamics dyno.

I have taken my play car from this dyno to another straight after and recorded an extra 35 RWKW on the next dyno... Not all of them are that accurate or truthful.

He got a cheap one then! The one I use it 250k worth, made to take over 1100Kw at wheels.

G'day Grande. You have to remember that figures taken by a dyno are taken at the wheels therefore will always read roughly 25% lower than those stated in spec sheets. These figures I think are taken from the crown wheel. The 25% is lost through the driveline i.e. gearbox and transfer case.

I have a manual 98 v6 and did some dyno runs before and after putting extractors and 2.5" straight though exhaust. I would highly recommend this mod as I definately noticed a marked improvement. Other mods incl a K & N Filter and snorkel with no real improvement.

        Dyno run is shown below:

        Hope this helps.
