Hi All,
I've got a 1996 Prado RV with a 3RZ-FE. I'm wondering - what was the designer smoking at toyota when they decided where to put the fuel filter?!?! Has anyone tried replacing one? I thought it'd be a simple process (as the dual-tank 5VZ equipped prado's have it under the car) but in mine its under the intake manifold, held on by 1 bolt. I cant reach the back of it properly to unscrew the rear (outlet) hose of the filter. I tried from under the car and cant even see it (starter motor is in the way), from the top you cant get to it cos of the manifold, from the front I cant reach in that far with tools (and cant see what I'm doing anyway).
Is this spozed to be something you only replace when servicing some other major component (head gasket?).
Please, if you have any tips, let me know. Very frustrating!
Thanks in advance!
