I have a 1997 Toyota Prado 3400cc V6 petrol version which has an engine oil leak. I am struggling to work out the source of this leak.
I cleaned the excess engine oil off and ran the engine at idle but the leak didn't start until it had been driven for a while. I thought that the front crank oil seal might be the cause as engine oil could be found on the the wiring loom bracket which is located just above the sump but once the cambelt covers were removed, I found the cambelt and cam covers to be dry, free of oil and nothing to suggest that the crank seal was leaking. Both camshaft oil seals appear to be only weeping.
The oil pressure switch is definitely not leaking. Any suggestions? Hope someone can help
