  • Replace valves in a single cylinder (VZJ95R 3.4L 5VZ-FE)

    Hey Guys,
I just had a compression test done on my engine and it came out, that one cylinder is way down on compression, probably because it ran on LPG before.
I try to find someone close to perth atm who is able to replace whats busted. I talked to some guys, a bit further north which would just swap the head or even the engine, but I'm not really willing to do such an expensive job atm.
Does anyone know, if it's a absolute no go to just do the valves and put the same head back on?

mate, by time the head is off you may as well do it correctly. you will be(should be) changing the gasket and bolts so for the extra few $ on parts and labour is worth it. also imagine going to the trouble and then your head is cracked or warped and then having to do it right the second time.
