  • Towing Ratings

Before I consider downgrading to the 1998, can send me provide me with some info on the towing ratings for a 1998 3.4L 3 Door? Information is hard to come by since this was never a US model

Can't help with the 3 door but my '98 3.4L V6 is rated for 2500kg with trailer brakes.
    Cheers, Leon

The 90 series 3 door isn't available in Australia as a new vehicle. All come here from overseas as a second hand grey import. Which is why there is very little knowledge of these vehicles here. I can't work out why this forum refers to the 90 series which are quite rare, when the 95 series is the most common here.

You are asking questions abouty a vehicle that is as common as rocking horse !@#. I've actually only ever seen two in this country in the last 5 years. Perhaps you could try a Landcruiser site in the UK or Europe.

Thanks Wizard. Actually, this is a very common car here in the UAE and continues to be sold along with the 5 Door model. I guess I will try my luck at a UK-based sitet. 2,500 Kg is very healthy indeed, I would knock off a few Kg's given the shorter wheelbase, but not by much. I need to use the car to pull a 25 foot boat, conducting research will save me fron headaches later.

        Cheers.

Good find, Diesels typically have much higher torque numbers than gasoline engines, this is encouraging non-the-less. Thanks.
