Adjustable Lumbar Support for GXL

I have a '97 GXL and would really like to fit adjustable lumbar support to the drivers seat. Swinging spanners and throwing hammers for 21 years has left me some lower back problems. I do a 550km trip every Monday going to and from work and find that my lower back starts to get sore from time to time. With previous vehicles I found that altering the lumbar adjuster a couple of times during the trip helps.
Did the Grande come out with this feature? If so, I guess I could either fit Grande seats or retrofit the adjuster into my existing seats. The ultimate fix would be aftermarket seats, anyone on here done this?

Yes the Grande has asjustable lumbar support, on mine the seats are all leather and electric, so fitting them will be very costly. There are some out there that did not have the leather option ticked, so they did not get the electric option either, but it is a totally different fabric to the GXL, but if your ok with that then go for it, otherwise you need to get all of the seats and door cards as well.
Another way to go would be to fit aftermarket seats, but there are rules and regs to follow for that but the seller/installer should know about them.

As far as the Grande seats go, I hear what you are saying about being costly to fit. Maybe I could find a drivers seat with shagged trim and just rat the lumbar support mechanism out of it and fit to my GXL seats.

I'm pretty sure the seat frame is different, and does not allow the lumbar support to be attached to it.

There is another option that is fairly cheap, you can get an auto trimmer to re-pad your current seat to give you the lumbar support you need, but then it is not adjustable and will have to stay at that one setting.

Why don't you just get one of those add-on bladders that Dereki posted earlier? The sheepskin lined one looks pretty good and shouldn't clash with your GXLs seat fabric too much.

Yeah, I reckon that is the way I will go. The seats currently have sheepskin covers on them so the add on wouldn't even be visible.
