Child Restraint Anchor Points For An 01

Can anyone confirm that a 2001 90 series has only one anchor point on the floor for fitting a child seat in the centre of the back seat?

I made and fitted drawers a while back and while doing so I recall thinking to myself it was strange that I only found one anchor point, with none provided for seats on either the left or right side.

In the near future I'm going to need two anchor points and before I bust my arse in trying to pull the drawers out I figured I'd ask the question. This then leads to my second question,

Has anyone fitted a Child Restraint Anchor Bar (CRA Bar) to a 90 series?

Hi Brett,
There are 3 anchor points. The ones behind the 2 outside seats may just be the holes for the anchor attachment to be fitted. The previous owner may only have had 1 anklebiter and placed them in the centre.

By back do you mean second or third row seats?

Mine's an 01 and have fitted a baby seat in the centre of the middle row seats; the anchor is about 40cm behind the middle row seats hidden by the carpet.

Not sure about the left and ride hand sides. I know I've seen it illustrated in the manual but can't recall what it connected to. There are 4x round anchor points in the rear - can they be used?

There are definately 3 anchor points. When we had one, she was put in the centre and when number 2 came along the seats went behind the front seats. There have even been times when there have been 3 car seats in the back, albeit a tight squeeze
You may need to purchase the attachment which is bolted to the floor that the seat hooks onto

yep in the center row seats there are 3 anchor points if you look closely at the carpet you will see the carpet has
access to the points you just have to pop out the piece that has been punched and after owning our prado for 5 yrs I have just found some anchor points at the 3rd row of seats

Thanks guys. It appears I'm going to have to pull the drawers out and have a better look. I did think it was a little strange to only have one anchor point.
