Question on Keyless Entry

I have keyless entry on both my 97 SWB and 2001 LWB. I would like to ask whether the lights are supposed to turn on and off with the locking/unlocking of the doors, just like they did on my recently sold 2005. Is this a programming issue, or is it the fact that this feature was never there to begin with?

Do you mean the interior light, or the vehicle headlights.

On my 2000 95 series, the interior lights turn on/off with the keyless entry / central locking, if the interior light is switched to the 'door' position.

I am talking about the external signal lights which typically "flash" during locking and unlocking the car. My interior light does go on when I unlock, but it does not do me any good when its day time

Yep, my indicator/signal lights do flash when the car is unlocked with the remote.

So, could this be a programming issue? A blown fuse perhaps? I doubt it since the signals are working fine :roll:

I have a 2000 90 series flashes both lock and unlock,even the headlights go out in time if I lock it, the interior light is automatic as well,I call it idiot proof although I have still managed to flatten the battery in other ways;Sounds like you have small problem Baz.Consalt your local dealer service people for free advice ,it could be a simple programing issue.
