I have the latest desighn on my 120 im happy so far.

If i had an extreme 4x4 and was going to bash crap out of it, I'd go a 5 or 6 mm and insist on other centre support

Its a huge improvement on the stock tin trays

I beleive thats true for the 120 but I don't think it applies to the 90.
Heres one on Ebay that show center support bolts-

Anyone actually fitted one to a 90 who can advise on this and other issues???

I cannot see any centre bolts on the ebay pictures. What you are seeing there are only the front and rear bolts. The middle row should be near the bend, and it mounts through a long shaft which supports the plate against the chassis. I would definitely find out if there is a middle support before purchasing, as it'll make a huge difference to the final strength.

I've just uploaded some pics of my (modified) aftermarket bash plate. A couple weekends ago I dropped onto a rock step with this plate, which created a minor dent, right near the bend. Without the middle support, I doubt it would have faired anywhere near as well.

ok I've got BushSkinz looking at modifying their design to include the recessed mounts and extend the plate under the gearbox.

If you are interested in buying one of their plates then please see here-

BushSkinz bash plate for the 90/95

                Hi

I've been annoying BushSkinz.com.au regarding their bash plate for the 90's.
For me. there's a couple of shortcomings in their current design-
1/ the plate does not extend under the gearbox and
2/ the plate does not utilise the middle row of mounting bolts (the ones that are recessed at the rear of the first Toyo plate) possibly loosing a bit of strength here..

The good stuff is that its 4mm plate and I like the lizard logo

OK, BushSkinz are looking into modifying the design a bit to address my issues above so I'm wondering who else might want a plate for their 90?
No idea of price as yet but I'll append a guesstimate when BushSkinz come up with one.
As an indicator, they will sell the existing plate to PP members for $270 delivered to Sydney so I'm hopeful it won't be too much more.

                The disclaimer:
I'm not affiliated with BushSkinz in any way. I'm just gauging interest in these plates so as to convince BushSkinz there's a demand for their product (and of course get the price down).

                So whose interested?

                cheers

threads merged and removed from the for sale section as you are not selling an item.

Have you contacted Driveline Services there yet? Did you end up putting a diff lock in the front after the pinions got damaged? How do you feel about putting a hot weld to that chassis of yours?
Sorry, this is a little off subject but Glen does some interesting mods.

Nah mine was originally from Maxquarie 4x4. I bought it off Declan when he sold his Prado

                      Just an update.
Due to a total lack of interest, the idea of Bushskinz modifying their plate has been canned.

                        Hi John

Do you expect any trouble with removal of the countersunk screws?
I thought about hex heads but they'll fill up with crap and be hard to remove. At least Philips can be cleared out.

The brown Davis is sensational. I'm glad I didn't mess around with anything else.DNA were fantastic also.

I saw the revised product for the 120 online.
I sent an ebay message stating my experience.
Kieron offered to send me a replacement.
In short, best customer service I have had in a long time!
Well done! Thanks to Kieron at Bushskinz.

I will fit it up in the next few days and let you guys know.
