  • Toyota Prado 3.4v6 196k service What to do?

Hi all I have been here before and thanks for the help then. I'm back for more lol. My prado is at 196k and being serviced. What does it need? I have the following done already:

    1. Air filter
    2. Gearbox Oil
    3. Both diff oils
    4. MAF sensor cleaned
    5. Iridium Sparks
    6. Timing belt and crank seals have been done at 164k but not water pump. Not leakage yet so seams ok to me.

All above have been done in the last 10k.

I am planning on getting the following:

    1. transmission oil done
    2. Universal joints greased
    3. Oil and filter job
    4. Check Water Pump
    5. And a quick once over.
    6. Wheel alignment lol

I don't want to say to the garage do 200k service as I have most if it done already and don't want to waste money. I got a quote from Toyota, I wouldn't go there again after the 4g estimate that was 350 dollars to fix.

    Anyone anymore suggestions?

Just drive it now. Seems you have covered everything except I didn't see anything about a brake fluid flush ?? or transfer case oil change ?? Hows the aircon ?? cold enough !!! No mention of cooling system flush ?? To be honest you should be doing the uni joints every ten k anyway unless extreme driving conditions. Same with oil and filter (general servicing). There a good engine, if you keep it up it will do another 200k easily..........Cheers Steve
