  • 2000 Kimberley touch up paint?

    Hi,
I have a 2000 Kimberley that requires a little tender loving care in the paint department. The colour code I have is K74 which is the silver grey Kimberley they released. It is a semi-metallic paint (best I can come up with) but I've not been able to find this code on any of the touch-up paint websites.
Any ideas on how I would source a spray can of this paint and a suitable primer?
    Cheers

Try Autobarn at Slacks Creek, they have a paint shop there, they will get the code and make up the colour, then modify it to match exactly
97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

      Thanks Crooza,
I had a look at Autobarn at Beenleigh and they had a very limited paint section. I'll drop in to Slacks Creek this afternoon.

        Well,
I went into Autobarn with my K74 code and was treated like some sort of fool who can't read a code off a plate. The guy even offered to come outside and read the plate "properly" for me. Shame I didn't have the car with me.

So I've done some more research online and have found a good resource that might help others in future.

This site http://color-online.glasurit.com/ found the code straight away and gave me 2 colour names

I've had similar problems with parts interpreters at those shops, I wanted to get some spark plugs for our other car and I told them the model, engine code and year, was told that I was wrong and the engine code was this one, I told them no, it is not as that engine stopped production in 2000, this is a 2008 model, he said no I am wrong, so I said fine, thanks for nothing, and walked out, this happened in 3 different stores, they all want to follow their books and take them as gospel, one day they will learn...
