Gave the old girl a wash, cut and a polish...Its been a while since the paint has had this sort of shine to it...Even managed to get rid of a lot of the pin stripes...

Bloody hard work though, the buffer died so it was all by hand.....

Gave her a service and then spent 4 hours trying to find out why my winch had stopped working. Checked all the hard stuff first by pulling the front of the car off to find out it was just the isolation switch up near the battery. :roll:

bought mine couple days ago.
i fitted my roof cage/rack today
still have to finish positioning it correctly. an maby modify front feet to suit prado as it was off a GU patrol.

looks better on a prado. ill take new photos tomorrow once i position it properly sits to far forward. and the drip rail slope off towards the front too.

need to do couple of odd jobs, screw down center console properly.has broken mount at front of console, and tighten support bar in passenger side dash

Towed a car trailer and a BMW with it last night. 22l/100km uphill and the same going downhill in neutral I reckon

Mind you, some of you may remember that just under 12.months ago I was getting that economy while unloaded! Plus I think I had the same acceleration as I did n last night.

I know your pain, done it many times and often in double coats - 2 polish + 2 protect layers. Mine seriously needs it right now, it's so rough it's actually scratching my legs as I exit the vehicle...........

80's are a bigger vehicle so they'll probably fit inside the rear space, but I very much doubt any of the mounts or bolts will line up.

Springs are in. Very happy with ride height. Hate the ride but I knew I would as it's using old shocks. Body roll and nose diving is fun with the kids through round about hahaha. But it's helped me decide on if I go with regular shocks or hd. Figure since I still want a bit more I might do hd shocks. But on rhe flip side some of my rubbers need replacing so I'll do those first with polyurethane and decide from there.
