A wash and polish.. Seems a shame, as i'm taking the kids and wife out fishing for mothers day (yes, she loves fishing more than me!) and the only way to get there is low range

Finished off the re-wire to the back for the fridge etc. Used 6B&S in place of the 6mm which i found gave me a bit too much drop when running fridge, lights & the greedy inverter.

Circuit Breaker installed on the firewall. I mounted 2, the other will be for a separate run of 6B&S to the cabin solely for the inverter. Decided to remove it from the circuit that provides power to the fridge & lights to minimise drop.

New fuse box. Only running 3 items from it, but plenty of scope to change things around if i feel the urge.

Pic of the back, the cut outs in the side panels are ideal for mounting stuff, good thinking Toyota

Hay Hawks, is that deep cycle just the standard Century one? I'm in the middle of trying to fit one in mine and think there isn't enough room for one as they are 306mm long..

Creating engine mount brackets... cutting, grinding, welding... checking... grinding, welding... checking...

There's going to be even less room to fit a spanner. I might have to weld in the nuts

Well I just finished replacing the timing belt, water pump, all idler pullies, drive belts after one idler pulley decided to seize up and spit the timing belt while driving down the road.... thank god for the auto, so the motor just stopped and not get forced to keep going with a manual box.

I went up to Alice this week end to get the car back after getting it put back to full petrol. Well done to Matt at A1 Mechanics who hit a few brick walls while getting the bits and pieces to get the job done. Friday was my only opportunity to get it and on Thursday afternoon Matt was still waiting on a part. Walked in at 3pm Friday and it was ready. Sooooo happy to have 157lt's to drink again

BUT... corrugations have taken another toll. While i was driving along i heard a noise and looked out my window to see the flare dragging along side the car. It was holding on by one nut at the mudflap

Happened to me as well but on the rear flares....a tube of Sikaflex did the trick, i cant see them coming of EVER again...
