I have a 90 series 1KZ turbo diesel and towing a camper. Have been travelling for 3 months. For first 2 months was getting about 16/100km. Then ran main tank to empty and vehicle stopped. Switched to auxilliary and carried on. Since then getting about 18/100km with same load. Vehicle had comprehensive service by Toyota before we set out.. ie all filters replaced. That was about 7000km ago. Air filter looks OK. Maybe I am being overly sensitive but could the increase in fuel usage be associated with running the tank to empty and dirty particles getting into the system??

If you've been traveling a few months perhaps the air filter is clogged up a bit? Dirty air filters can definitely make a difference on petrols.glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90
