Where is Alarm Controller/Head Unit Mounted?

Hi,
We've just purchased a 97 Prado which is fitted with an alarm.
Unfortunately the remote needs a new shell. I need to find out the manufacturer if the alarm system.
Can someone offer their opinions on where the main controller/unit is commonly mounted please? I've looked in the places I thought it would go but it's not there.

Some of these are mounted behind the kick panels in the foot well I have had others behind the glove box.
