Here are some photos of the setup we have in our Prado. It was only finished recently in time for our Vic High Country trip in March.
The first photo shows the overall setup. We have a set of Black Widow rollers drawers and 1/2 cargo barrier, 50l Waeco, home made fridge slide, 50l poly water tank (the white box to the right of the fridge), mesh barriers around the fridge, storage shelf above the fridge and fold down table on the rear door.
The next bunch of photos are of the fridge slide which I made myself from a pair of 60kg ball bearing drawer runners and some waterproof ply. I covered it in carpet just for looks. I used 3mm aluminium angle to bolt down the fridge slide and this is only just strong enough, I would go for 5mm next time.
The tiedowns are the original ones from the cargo area that were removed when I installed the roller drawers.
For the latch I just used a 1/4" bolt and spring. I added the cable tie later after my wife complained that the bolt head hurt her fingers too much. I do want to replace this at some stage with a latch similar to that on the genuine Waeco fridge slides.
I designed the top shelf and the barriers either side of the fridge and myself in CAD and had them made up by a mate who owns a wire products fabrication business. They are powder coated and look just like bought ones but at a fraction of the cost. We have some canvas bags made up to fit in the space between the shelf and the roof in which we store our clothes. Our sleeping bags and camp oven also go up there.
The couple of photos below show how I mounted the shelf. It rests on and it bolted to the barriers either side of the fridge and the ends are supported from the bolts for the 3rd row seat grab handles. This is also where the black widow cargo barrier is bolted on.
Finally here are photos of the fold down table. Again it is made of waterproof ply and covered in marine carpet. Instead of being a one piece table across the width of the rear door it is in two pieces. Each side of the table can be used independently or we can lock them together and have one big table. We designed it this way so we can have one side of the table down and in use and still be able to open up the right side roller drawer. It works very well.
