Gary,
I am looking at doing that exact change with a v6 petrol.
I got a rough price the other day for a 04 1kz-te with 40K on the clock and it was going to cost around 10K installed.
I am always looking at places like ebay and the car auctions to see if one appears on there but will just have to keep looking at the moment.
Let us know how you go if you are going to go ahead with it.Rob Fisher

Whats next.....??

You'd be better off to sell the one you have and buy a second hand diesel RV or GXL. The expense and drama of getting such a conversion done would out weigh the benefits.
You should be shopping around for a mechanic to do the job first rather than think about what engine you can put in.

I tend to agree with Wizard. There would be many changes you would have to make including clutch, wiring harnesses, fuel delivery system, etc, etc. Add to that the prospect of different diff ratio's and it starts getting to be a big job. Offload it and buy a diesel. If your RV 2.7 has goodies on it, take them off and swap them onto the new one.
Cheers
Mark
