Help with Error Codes

Hello,

This is my first post here. I have a Prado VX Diesel 2000. Is there a specific forum for this model?

I have an error code of 32 = Correction resistor signal. My mechanic here thinks it's for the injection pump and that it needs to be looked at.

Does anyone know what this means?

When your check engine light comes on in your dash, this means that vehicle engine computer (ecm) has stored some electronic signal indicating that your engine has a problem that can affect engine performance. Example if the engine is misfiring, it will result in fault code P0300 when scanned; which when left unattended could damage your catalytic converter. On earlier domestic vehicle models, if you get a code 32; it usually means your exhaust gas recirculation (egr) system is at fault and needs testing. On both occasions, the sequence of events was started when the check engine light came on. This is why as soon as you see it in your dash; you have to scan it to get the fault codes.

If it is P0032, then it is Oxygen (A/F) sensor heater control circuit high (bank 1 sensor 1).
A/F = air/fuel

90 Series 1KZ codes are different. Code 32 is "injection pump correction system malfunction"
Suggested places to look:
-Open or short in IP correction unit cct
-IP correction unit
-Vacuum hose disconnected or clogged
-Engine ECU

I am about to bring the car to get the fuel pump checked along with the injectors at the same time. Thanks for all the responses. What a forum. Makes me want to move to Australia to see these Prado beauties first hand.

I hate repeating myself, (sound like a broken record) but I have to advise to do all the easy basic (and cheap) stuff first (check hoses, electrical connections etc), diagnose carefully before throwing money at it, don't just randomly follow everyone's (including mine) advice, and only change one thing at a time. Exactly. Unfortunately, where I am at in the Dominican Republic "diagnose carefully" is not a possibility. Their idea of "diagnosing" is to turn it on and if it starts, it's perfect!

I will check for a clogged vacuum hose and loose connections. Now, where is that hose?

anyone know what error codes ABS 56 and vac 39, 43 mean - the vsc and trc lights turn on on the dash as soon as I start moving also
