  • Vehicle mass & distribution ...

    Hi all,

While weighing some boats for work last week and I got curious ..... what does my Prado actually weigh :?:

 So this afternoon I dragged the scales out of the work Territory and laid them out so I could weigh my Prado.

Total 2105 kg with a near 50/50 weight bias ... main tank full, aux tank at 1/3 full
Passenger side Front 535 kg Driver side Front 505 kg

Passenger side Rear 525 kg Driver side Rear 540 kg

My Prado VX has Toyota Alloy bar, Dual Batteries with the second battery passenger side in engine bay, and rear A/C installed driver side rear.

Explains why on my outback sojourn last september the rear tyres required a couple psi more than the fronts when loaded to prevent excessive heat buildup

    Just a bit of trivia

that's very interesting! (non sarcastically) one of those useless (or maybe not so when you think about tyres and suspension setups) little stats that i've wondered a few times!

i've got weights in the past, normally when going in and out of the dump with a trailer attached and it's closer to 2700 with a couple of people but the distribution around the corners is a new take on it!
