Hi, just wondering if anyone might have any other ideas of what my problem might be?
After going through a decent sized mud hole and getting stuck, we felt a vibration in the front end occasionally which we narrowed down to the drivers side but after getting all the mud out from under the car (which was full of rock) the vibration seemed to disappear so we thought it was just the mud falling off as we were driving, but then a couple of days later i was right hand down coming over an overpass and there was like this massive clunk, i slowed right down and idled it about 500m out of traffic and there was a smaller clunk with what seemed to be every turn of the wheel all the way til i stopped & of course when we put it on the trailer there was no clunking but it feels unsafe. I pulled the wheel off and can't see anything obvious, the drive shaft is moving good when i turn the wheel, but the wheel seems to be gripping in a couple of spots when i turn it, not sure i want to check the bearings cause i don't know anything about the hub assembly (only done falcons before & i'm a girl) but i think this was too big for just bearing anyway. Am so hoping it's not the front diff, we just replaced the rear 4 months ago.
