How many klms are they good for ??

How many klms will it do before Im up for big $$$ on turbo rebuilds,engine,gearbox etc, :evil: :evil: providing it has had the usual servicing etc and not neglected ??? $22,000 for an 02 GXL model with 216k on it :?: :?: . Is there a major issue with the heads on the 1KZ's or is what I have heard/read due to lack of servicing ?? :roll: :roll: Im looking at trading mine in on one (above mentioned) on the weekend. Has any one on here had any major issues with theirs and regret owning it :x :x . I currently have a 97 model V6 petrol/Lpg with 182 on it Grande..and have had no issues with it but looking for diesel for better long range touring. Regards Steve M

Hi Steve

I have a mate with a 95 series year 2000 that he has since new. It has the 1KZ in it. He has done the minor services himself and had all the majors done on time etc. at last check he had just done his 205Km service. Only things he has replaced besides Tyres is a heater cable.


Like any car though it is going to depend on how well it has been serviced and how hard it has been used.
