What is TX?

Team, my Prado is a TX model and I would love to know what this refers to. Where does the TX sit versus GXl & VX? Thanks

I could be wrong but i thought it was the diesel equivelant to the VX petrol???

i thought the TX was a jap import? they had the 3 litre TD from the start

Thanks for the feedback guys. Car was definitely an Aust. delivered car. I have the logbook which shows it was sold new from Toyota dealer and was purchased with an extended warranty.

Just trying to figure out what I had on my hands 'cos I haven't seen another TX like mine, only VX, GXL etc.

I see your in Perth, another Perthie!

About a month ago (maybe more now) I picked up a VX 3.4L V6.

You've got a TX which has listed above is the 1KZ-TE model, opposed to the V6.

Keep a look-out for some of the Perth trips!
