The wife has a 98 GXL V6, which has been a great car except for when I have to drive it long distances. The seat is too high for me as when I look straight ahead I'm looking through the tint at the top of the windscreen which causes much neck fatigue as I drop my head to see! I can get the seat mounts modified to lower the seat a bit but then it will be too low for the wife. Is there any models that have an adjustable seat base? In the VX or Grande maybe?

Re: Adjustable seat height?
How tall are you?! I'm 6'2" and have a heap of room above my head.
My 96 Grande has a little bit of up and down movement, although off memory it just drops and raises the rear of the seat whilst the front stays in the same position<Rob> '12 Prado GX - https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/general/my-rig-build-up/32702-i-m-back-with-a-2012-150-gx-toorak-tractor

Re: Adjustable seat height?
change your windscreen for one that does not have the tint at the top. that's what i did as i suffered the same problem with looking through the tinted band.
if your car insurance has windscreen cover it's free and it could be time to do in anyway as your windscreen may be sand blasted or marked etc if it's never been done before.

Re: Adjustable seat height?
Khadland,
perhaps you could provide the detail in your profile of where you live so we can establish whether you are from overseas or not. Or is it a secret?
Regarding the seat height, being 6'4" tall it isn't the height of the seat base so much as the the back rest. They must design seats for Hobbits. My shoulders sit above the back rest which causes neck fatigue. I am seriously looking at aftermarket seats. Mind you my wife is just over 5' so there might be an issue with that
Being a GXL it has no lumbar support either. It does make long trips a little uncomfortable.

I often reach in hope for the non existent lumbar support while driving.
